Scope of Authority: ASIIN accredits degree programmes in the fields of engineering, computer science/informatics, the natural sciences, mathematics and architecture at HEIs in- and outside of Germany - within Germany with the Seal of the German Accreditation Council. The accreditation is awarded for a limited period of time. Re-accreditation is required after 5-7 years.
Agency's Role: ASIIN is one of six accreditation agencies in Germany and the only one specialised in the accreditation of degree programmes in the fields of engineering, computer science/informatics, the natural sciences, mathematics and architecture. For the accreditation of degree programmes in its fields of specialisation, ASIIN has developed subject-specific requirements supplementing the general standards and legal requirements.
