Home > About ENQA > Appeals and Complaints Committee Appeals and Complaints Committee of ENQAIt is stated in the ENQA regulations (see article 7) that there shall be an Appeals and Complaints Committee, which will hear appeals and complaints against decisions and the conduct of procedures in respect of membership matters done by the ENQA Board. The Composition of the Committee The Appeals and Complaints Committee will comprise three representatives of Full members of ENQA. The members of the Committee are appointed by the ENQA Board for a three-year term. The members of the Committee will serve continuously a maximum of six years. A member of the Committee can not also be a member of the Board, but at least one of the members will normally be a former member of the Board.

The Appeals Procedure A body whose application for membership is not accepted by the ENQA Board, or which is granted Candidate, rather than Full membership, against its wishes, may appeal in writing to the Board, indicating why it believes the Board's decision was wrong. The deadline for appeals is two calendar months from the date of the notification of the Board's decision. The appeal should be sent to the Secretary General of ENQA, Mrs. Emmi Helle, at emmi.helle@enqa.eu. The Board will ask the Appeals and Complaints Committee to review the decision, and the Board's decision on the appeal will be based on the Committee's report. The Board's decision on appeals is final. |
