Sep. 2009) The Flemish Interuniversity Council Quality Assurance Unit (VLIR - QAU) successfully underwent a nationally coordinated external review in May 2009. The review was chaired by Marcel Crochet, Expert in the field of the Belgian universities, former rector of the University of Louvain-la-Neuve, advisor of the Minister of Higher Education of the French Community of Belgium, and member of NVAO evaluation committee. External review report of NAA Russia - November 2008 (14. Sep. 2009) The Russian National Accreditation Agency (NAA) successfully underwent an external review in November 2008. The review was chaired by Riitta Pyykkö, Professor, University of Turku, Finland and chair of the Finnish Higher Education Evaluation Council (FINHEEC). Sep. 2009) The Institutional Evaluation Programme of the European University Association (EUA-IEP) successfully underwent an ENQA-coordinated external review in April 2009. Jun. 2009) Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur (CTI) successfully underwent a nationally coordinated external review in October 2007. Jun. 2009) The Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS) successfully underwent an ENQA-coordinated external review in May 2009. The review was chaired by Prof. György Bazsa, President of the Hungarian Accreditation Committee (HAC). External review report of AGAE - January 2009 (01. Apr. 2009) The Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Research of Andalusia (AGAE) successfully underwent an external review in January 2009. The review was chaired by Séamus Puirséil, Chief Executive of the Higher Education & Training Awards Council for Ireland. A request was made by AGAE for the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) to be responsible for the external evaluation of the Agency. External review report of PKA - December 2008 (23. Mar. 2009) The State Accreditation Committee of Poland successfully underwent an external review in 2008. The panel was chaired by Dr. Nicholas Harris, independent international expert. The review was coordinated by the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland and the Bureau for Academic Recognition and International Exchange (Polish ENIC/NARIC). External review report of ACQUIN - March 2006 (20. Mar. 2009) The Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute successfully underwent an external review in January 2006. The panel was chaired by Prof. Dr. Johann Schneider, member of the Accreditation Council. External review report of NQAI - September 2007 (pdf) (02. Mar. 2009) The National Qualifications Authority of Ireland successfully underwent an external review in September 2007. The Department of Education and Science, in association with the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, appointed a Panel chaired by Pat Kelleher, former Director of Cork Institute of Technology, to undertake a quality review of the National Qualifications Authority of Ireland. External review report of AQAS - February 2007 (pdf) (02. Mar. 2009) The Agentur für Qualitätssicherung durch Akkreditierung von Studiengängen (AQAS) successfully underwent an external review in February 2007. The review panel was chaired by Dr. Ing. Peter Pirsch, University of Hannover, member of the Accreditation Council. The review was coordinated by the German Accreditation Council (GAC). External review report of VLHORA - September 2008 (pdf) (02. Mar. 2009) The Flemish Council of university colleges (VLHORA) successfully underwent an external review in September 2008. The review panel was chaired by Nick Harris, former Director of Development and Enhancement, QAA, United Kingdom and UK Bologna Expert. The review was coordinated by the Center for Accreditation and Quality Assurance of the Swiss universities (OAQ). External review report of QAA, UK - July 2008 (02. Mar. 2009) The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, United Kingdom (QAA, UK) successfully underwent an external review in July 2008. The review panel was chaired by David Sherlock CBE, Director ‘Beyond Standards’ Ltd.; former chief inspector of adult learning (not HE) for England. External review report of NEAA - July 2008 (pdf) (29. Sep. 2008) The National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (NEAA) successfully underwent an external review in July 2008. The National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) has been in charge of the coordination of the evaluation process. ENQA appointed a panel of international experts nominated by ANECA to carry out the external review of NEAA. The panel was chaired by Prof. Francisco Marcellán, Full Professor, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and former director of ANECA. Re-accreditation of ZEvA by the German Accreditation Council on 22 June 2006 (pdf) (10. Sep. 2008) Decision of the German Accreditation Council on the application of the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency Hannover (ZEvA) for reaccreditation, granting ZEvA the authority to accredit study programmes by awarding the seal of foundation. The accreditation was granted subject to compliance with conditions. External review report of ZEvA - December 2005 (pdf) (10. Sep. 2008) The Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency Hannover (ZEvA) successfully underwent an external review in 2005. The review panel was appointed by the German Accreditation Council and chaired by Professor Dr. Reinhold R. Grimm, University of Jena, member of the Accreditation Council. External review report of HAC - June 2008 (pdf) (10. Sep. 2008) The Hungarian Accreditation Committee (HAC) successfully underwent an external review in June 2008. The Hungarian Ministry of Education and Culture and the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference who jointly commissioned the review were responsible for selecting and appointing the members of the external review panel. The panel was chaired by Ferdinand Devínsky, former rector of Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia, member and chair of EUA Institutional Evaluation Programme pool of evaluators, member of IEP steering committee. External review report of GAC - April 2008 (pdf) (10. Sep. 2008) The German Accreditation Council (GAC) successfully underwent an external review in April 2008. The Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK) coordinated the external review in cooperation with the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK). The panel was chaired by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Alfred Kieser, Chair for General Business Administration and Organisation, Mannheim University. External review report of NOKUT - February 2008 (pdf) (17. Jun. 2008) The Norwegian National Quality Assurance Agency (NOKUT) successfully underwent an external review in February 2008. The report was commissioned by the Norwegian Ministry for Education and Research. The Ministries commission involved two evaluation reports; the present one, and a second External review report of FHR - November 2007 (pdf) (17. Jun. 2008) The Austrian FH Council (FHR) successfully underwent an external review in 2007. The Austrian Federal Ministry for Science and Research established the terms of reference and the protocol for the review, and nominated the members of the review panel. The panel was chaired by Jon Haakstad from the Norwegian National Quality Assurance Agency. External review report of AAC - September 2007 (pdf) (17. Jun. 2008) The Austrian Accreditation Council (AAC) successfully underwent an external review in 2007. The Austrian Federal Ministry for Science and Research established the terms of reference and the protocol for the review, and nominated the members of the review panel. The Federal Ministry coordinated the process in concert with the Austrian Rector’s Conference. The panel was chaired by dr. Jun. 2008) The Austrian Agency for Quality Assurance (AQA) successfully underwent an external ENQA-coordinated review in 2007. ENQA appointed a review panel chaired by Professor Jürgen Kohler to evaluate the way in which and to what extent AQA fulfils the criteria for the ENQA membership and thus the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG). The review panel was appointed by the Ministers of Higher Education of The Netherlands and the Flanders (Committee of Ministers). The panel was chaired by Helmut Konrad, former chairman of the Austrian Accreditation Council, former Board member ENQA and professor at the University of Graz. Re-accreditation of FIBAA by the German Accreditation Council on 16 February 2007 (pdf) (10. Jan. 2008) Decision of the German Accreditation Council on the application of the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) for reaccreditation, granting FIBAA the authority to accredit study programmes by awarding the seal of foundation. Sep. 2007) The Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU) successfully underwent an external ENQA-coordinated review in 2007. ENQA appointed a review panel led by Michael Kraft (Austrian FH Council) and chaired by Thierry Malan (IGAENR) to evaluate the way in which and to what extent AQU fulfils the criteria for the ENQA membership and thus the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG). External review report of ANECA - June 2007 (pdf) (27. Sep. 2007) The National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain (ANECA) successfully underwent an external ENQA-coordinated review in 2007. The review was carried out with the mandate to assess the extent to which the Agency complies with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG). The review panel of international experts was appointed by ENQA. The panel was led by Professor Hildegard Vermeiren and was chaired by Dorte Kristoffersen (HKCAAVQ). External review report of OAQ by the Swiss University Conference on 8 August 2006 (pdf) (05. Jul. 2007) The Center for Accreditation and Quality Assurance of the Swiss universities (OAQ) successfully underwent an external review in 2006. The review panel was appointed by the Swiss University Conference. The panel was led by Professor Marco Baggiolini and chaired by Dr. Karl Dittrich. Jul. 2007) The Accreditation Agency for Study Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and and Mathematics (ASIIN) successfully underwent an external review in 2006. The review panel was appointed by the German Accreditation Council and chaired by Gerd Köhler, a member of the Accreditation Council and a representative of the trade union for education and science. External review report of the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education (HsV) (pdf) (24. May. 2007) The Swedish National Agency for Higher Education (HsV) succesfully underwent an external review in 2005. It was carried out as a follow-up evaluation with the specific mandate to assess the extent to which the Agency complies with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG). The review panel was chaired by Dr. Rolf Sandahl from the Swedish National Financial Management Authority. External review report of the Danish Evaluation Insitute (EVA) (04. Apr. 2007) Danish Evaluation Intitute (EVA) succesfully underwent an external review in 2005. The review panel was appointed by the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education (HsV). The panel was chaired by Henrik Tvarnø (Senior lecturer in history, Director-General of the Danish Parliament (Folketing) and former Rector of the University of Southern Denmark). External review report of the Higher Education Training and Awards Council (HETAC) (02. Apr. 2007) The Higher Education Training and Awards Council (HETAC) succesfully underwent an external review in 2005-2006. The review panel was appointed by the National Qualifications Authority of Ireland (NQAI) and it was chaired by Professor William J Smyth, President Emeritus of the National University of Ireland. The panel reviewed the performance of HETAC with particular reference to its principal statutory functions as contained in the Qualifications (Education and Training) Act 1999. The panel also considered the extent to which, in performing these functions, the Council complied with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area.
