After the success of last year’s annual event, ASIIN organised the annual conference “Information and Training” on 12th and 13th November 2007 in Berlin, Germany.
The conference provided first of all an opportunity to stay informed about actual developments in the field of programme – and system accreditation. Furthermore, the ASIIN annual conference has over the past years developed into a renowned forum for the exchange of views with national and international experts.
The topics included employability and outcome-orientation in higher education, role and tasks of auditors, the current status of the development of standards and criteria both for programme and system accreditation, the characteristics of re-accreditation and the accreditation of study programmes leading to teaching certifications. Moreover, studies and views from associations and professional societies on quality issues in higher education and the Bologna Process were discussed.
