Ukrainian national QA agency starts its work

In the summer of 2014, Ukraine adopted a law on higher education which provided the establishment of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA). The first personal for the agency was elected in 2015, however it never started its official work. In December 2018, the new staff for NAQA was elected by the International competition commission and approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The Head and Vice-Heads of NAQA were elected and approved in February 2019.

The major strategic goals of NAQA are to develop the culture of quality assurance in higher education in Ukraine, to assure the quality of education services and research, and to meet the international standards of quality assurance in higher education. NAQA aims to become a catalyst for changes in higher education in Ukraine by building on values of partnership, trust, independence, professionalism, innovation, academic integrity, and transparency.

More information on the agency is available on its website and Facebook page. The agency can be reached at info@naqa.gov.ua.
