The project Fraud-Act – Combatting Fraud through a Holistic Approach and Data Collection has the main objective of countering education fraud and promoting academic integrity in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), therefore contributing to the goal of improving the quality for higher education, in line with the Tirana Communiqué.
To reach this objective, various peer learning activities, surveys, online focus groups, workshop and webinars are implemented, involving relevant stakeholders, as Bologna Follow-Up Group (BFUG) members, quality assurance agencies, national higher education institutions and other relevant authorities. The activities focus on four areas of intervention identified in Recommendation CM/Rec(2022)18 of the Committee of Ministers to member States on countering education fraud: prevention, prosecution, international co-operation, and monitoring of the phenomenon, through a holistic approach based on international cooperation and innovation.
Two main documents are developed as part of the Fraud-Act project:
• A study on transnational initiatives aimed at preventing academic fraud within the EHEA;
• A publication dedicated to promoting a holistic approach to preventing fraud and fostering academic integrity in higher education.
ENQA will be involved mainly in two worpackages and their activities:
Workpackage 1: Setting the scene on education fraud phenomena in the EHEA
Work Package 4: Dissemination activities and project sustainability
