Online teaching and learning have become an established reality in higher education, but they also pose new challenges in terms of student assessment. The REMOTE project webinar on challenges of online assessment in higher education aims to provide a space for reflection and discussion on how to ensure quality and reliability in assessment processes carried out in digital environments. It will take place on 30 October 2025 at 11am (CET).
The session will feature contributions from three external quality assurance agencies —ANVUR (Italy), AQU Catalunya (Spain), and A3ES (Portugal)— who have jointly developed a guide on online assessment in the context of the REMOTE project, funded by Erasmus+. This guide offers practical recommendations both for universities, helping them to enhance the quality of their online programmes, and for quality agencies, supporting them in strengthening their external evaluation procedures and promoting continuous improvement.
