SKVC, Lithuanian quality assurance agency for higher education, is making an open call for international academic community members to nominate their candidacies to serve in procedures of external quality assurance. SKVC is member of ENQA and listed on the EQAR as trustworthy quality assurance agency in EHEA.
Experts applying should be currently active and known in their fields as researchers, teachers of the subject, or be Bologna experts, independent higher education consultants, have previous experience of participation in peer reviews in at least two EHEA countries, within the international panels of experts, during the last 10 years, and be fluent in English (level C1 according to CERF or equivalent). The whole evaluation process will be conducted in English.
SKVC is kindly seeking nominations of experts to serve in evaluation procedures in Lithuania for the following study fields, to be evaluated with accreditation purposes in 2026-2027:
– Pedagogy;
– Educology;
– Culture studies;
– Mathematics.
Once a candidacy is approved, the expert is included in SKVC’s database. Invitations to serve in evaluations are issued on a case-by-case basis. The SKVC has the right to select suitable candidates, and before each evaluation it contacts the selected experts. The duration of site-visits depends on a particular study field assessment, it usually takes 2-4 working days depending on the number of higher education institutions to be visited. Expert fees (including travel and subsistence costs) are offered commensurate with the competence profile of experts, having in mind the evaluation task and flat costs associated.
