ASIIN and 16 national and international organisations organised a state of the art international conference titled “Quality Management in Higher Education: the unsolved mystery of its untapped potential – how to jointly tackle the five remaining grand challenges?” in the Hotel Steigenberger am Kanzleramt in Berlin on 3-4 May 2016.
The conference gathered a unique and high profile crowd of speakers representing QA and professional bodies worldwide, the European and international higher education establishment, employer associations, unions and student bodies, recognition authorities, members of politics and the media, etc. Participants discussed and analysed the unique opportunities that a structured approach to quality management and accreditation can have for global educational, political, and socio-economic modernisation processes as well as recognition and mobility issues which for a (too) long time have not been put on the table.
Padraig Walsh’s presentation “How can we better communicate the results of QA in Higher Education to the political realm and to the media?” is available here.
Further information about the conference agenda, speakers, registration and accommodation can be found on the event webpage.
