ENQA, in cooperation with FINHEEC, organised a seminar on theme “Learning from each other – using benchmarking to develop IQA” which was held on 16-17 June, 2011 in Helsinki, Finland. This marked the annual meeting of the ENQA IQA Group.
The overarching theme of the seminar was how to use benchmarking, applied in practical level, in developing an agency’s internal quality assurance. Agencies compared their own practices with others (emphasised on a certain focus area) during January-May 2011 and reported about it in the seminar.
The following themes for benchmarking were covered at the seminar:
- Benchmarking of resources
- Benchmarking of performance indicators
- Benchmarking of on the follow-up of feedback
- Benchmarking of staff competence/development
