The German Accreditation Council and the German Rectors’ Conference jointly organised the Bologna Seminar “The European Dimension of Quality Assurance”. It took place on 14 March 2011 in Berlin, Germany.
The conference theme is an excellent opportunity to appreciate and identify the worldwide agencies and universities’ challenges for the forthcoming years through four subthemes:
- Globalizing forces and national/regional goals in higher education: emerging issues
- Professionalization of quality assurance
- Effective QA processes for diversity, development and sustainability
- Independence of QA vis-a-vis different stakeholders
