Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the ENQA Board took the difficult decision to cancel the ENQA General Assembly and 20th anniversary celebrations in their physical format. The events were planned to take place in October 2020 in Brussels, Belgium. Due to the continued uncertainty around the feasibility of large gatherings and international travel combined with the financial risk associated with having to cancel at late notice, it was decided that the prudent option is to arrange another online meeting. ENQA would nevertheless like to thank the Belgian hosts, AEQES, VLUHR-QA and MusiQuE, for the work they had already put in to planning the event, and we are pleased to announce that they have agreed to instead host the next Members’ Forum and General Assembly meeting, taking place in April 2021. The celebrations to mark ENQA’s 20th anniversary will also be postponed until then.

Programme

In place of the physical events, a short online General Assembly will be organised on Thursday 22 October, 14.00-16.00 CEST. This meeting will allow us to discuss the matters important for the ongoing work of the Association, such as the work plan and budget for 2021. The draft agenda is for the meeting can be found here.

In addition, ENQA will hold a series of webinars covering topics that would otherwise have been addressed in the physical event. These will take place in the week of 19-23 October and further details will be announced in due course.

Registration

Registration for the ENQA General Assembly and associated webinars will open in September 2020. More information will be sent to the ENQA membership in due course.
