To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF), Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) will co-organise with Education Bureau of Hong Kong SAR Government the HKCAAVQ Annual Event in Hong Kong on 13 November 2018.
This year, one of the highlights is a launching ceremony for the Credit Accumulation and Transfer Centralised (CAT) Database on the Qualifications Register (QR). This marks an important milestone of the development of HKQF. The database is only made possible with the full support of many stakeholders in the academic and vocational education and training sectors. It is intended to better support learner mobility in the pursuit of lifelong learning.
On this commemorative occasion, ample opportunities are available for stakeholders to raise their mutual understanding and foster closer collaboration. To this end, industry leaders, renowned academics and seasoned quality assurance professionals are invited to join a dialogue session in which discussions will focus on the development of HKQF in the next decade. HKCAAVQ would also take this opportunity to appoint HKCAAVQ Specialists. Engagement of Specialists in accreditation plays a critical role in the quality assurance processes of HKCAAVQ. HKCAAVQ also draws from the Specialists’ expertise in its consideration of quality assurance matters. Further update will be announced on the event website.
