The goal of the seminar was to reflect on policies, trends and perspectives on the use of ICT technologies in teaching and learning in the higher education sector. The seminar also aimed to introduce innovative learning initiatives implemented by the Estonian government, plus showcase how research groups at Tallinn and KU Leuven universities develop methods and applications for an evidence-based learning experience, bridging the gap between technological advancement and effective learning methods.
An update of the activities connected to the 2013 EC communication “Opening up Education“ was presented by DG EAC (tbc), as well as the recently published report from High-Level Group on the Modernisation of Higher Education on “New modes of learning and teaching in universities”.
Registration for the seminar is open until the 6th of November.
