NOKUT • Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education

NOKUT’s work is intended to contribute to society at large having confidence in Norwegian higher education and tertiary vocational education as well as recognised foreign education. NOKUT is an independent expert body under the Ministry of Education and Research of Norway. NOKUT”s board is the agency’s supreme governing body. The agency has 100 employees and is organised in four departments and a communication unit. During a two year period, around 900 experts are involved in various evaluation and accreditation processes under the auspices of NOKUT.
