AHERS is an ENQA Affiliate.

The Agency for Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska was established by the Decision of the Government of Republic of Srpska No.: 04 / 1-012-2-273/11 from February 24, 2011 under the name of Higher Education Accreditation Agency of Republic of Srpska which was transformed, by the Law on Quality Assurance in Higher Education of Republic of Srpska, into the Agency for Higher Education of Republic of Srpska as its legal successor.

AHERS is an institution that fosters quality culture in higher education of Republic of Srpska and is committed to the principles of the European Higher Education Area.

AHERS is committed to partnering with higher education institutions and with students thus encouraging them to actively engage in the creation of student-centred learning, teaching and assessment processes.

In the accreditation process, AHERS applies verification methods based on modern methodologies for quality assurance. Special attention is paid to the independence of the accreditation processes and objectivity of the accreditation outcomes.
