The Bocconi University and the Italian Association for Management Development (ASFOR) have joined forces to design a quality framework to assess a new faculty development programme called Bocconi Excellence in Advanced Teaching (BEAT).
BEAT focuses on the cutting-edge standards of new learning and teaching methods, combined in a blended format to effectively mix online learning with in-class activities and workshops. The programme is aimed at incoming faculty members and junior faculty and it covers models, methods, design processes and tools for the new era of EdTech in higher education. This faculty development programme encompasses the whole cycle of teaching design and delivery, in various learning environments, both physical and digital, synchronous and asynchronous, and for different types of learners and learning styles. It is also aimed at building a community of “Bocconi Faculty” to continuously drive teaching and learning innovative practices within and outside the university.
ASFOR has supported BUILT in defining a quality improvement model to assess and accredit this innovative format, and will be presenting it at its Annual Conference in June 2019.
