ENQA Members and Affiliates invited to complete survey on the QA of research

While quality assurance (QA) in higher education is the primary activity of all ENQA members and affiliates and is well documented, there is little knowledge on the QA of research and how it is integrated into agencies’ missions and activities. Therefore, ENQA’s Working Group on the QA of research has developed a questionnaire to map the current state of the evaluation of institutional quality assurance processes for research, research-based learning and research policies across the ENQA community.

The survey is addressed to all ENQA members and affiliates that are quality assurance agencies located in Europe and the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), regardless of whether they work on the QA of research or not. The deadline for responses is 29 February.

The results of this survey will be complemented by interviews and will serve to highlight good practices and challenges regarding evaluation of the QA of research, considering the diversity of contexts and objectives among QA agencies. This will offer valuable insights for agencies planning to incorporate research quality assurance into their activities in the future or to revise their current approaches.

If you are an ENQA member or affiliate and have not received an invitation to complete the survey, kindly send an email to luis.miranda@enqa.eu.

ENQA’s Working Group on the QA of Research is co-chaired by the Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ) and the High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Hcéres, France) and consists of 16 agencies representing 15 countries.
