The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA, United Kingdom) operates as the quality body for higher education (HE) across all four UK nations: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. However, recent decades have seen significant shifts in the regulatory requirements and in HE policy within each nation. As a result, QAA recently published a poster which outlines how quality assurance operates across the UK, taking the contexts of the different nations into account.
Alongside the poster, which may be downloaded here, QAA also published a blog which goes into a bit more depth about how QAA operates effectively across the UK nations, including information on the UK Quality Code and the baseline regulatory requirements.
