HEInnovate, a joint initiative of the European Commission and the OECD, has launched a review report to assess the strategies and practices of higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Netherlands to foster entrepreneurship and innovation. The report additionally analyses public policies supporting these activities, and proposes several recommendations to the Dutch authorities and institutions.
The country reviews are part of HEInnovate, a guiding framework, jointly developed by the EC and the OECD, to support policy makers and HEI leaders to enhance the entrepreneurial and innovative potential of higher education institutions. Other country reports can be found here. Next to the country reviews, the HEInnovate framework encompasses a free online self-assessment tool, available in 24 languages for higher education institutions to organise strategic discussions and debate around entrepreneurship and innovation.
