Information session on Global Academic Integrity Network

The Global Academic Integrity Network (GAIN) is holding an Information Session on Monday 12 February from 07:00 – 08:00 (UTC). Anybody interested in attending can contact gain@qqi.ie to receive a link to join the meeting.

Co-founded by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) and Australia’s Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), GAIN is a consortium of education quality and integrity agencies worldwide who have joined forces to fight the rise of commercial academic cheating services targeting students. The network meets online roughly four times per year to share experiences and resources towards helping other jurisdictions develop legislation, regulatory approaches and frameworks that penalise facilitating and advertising of cheating services. At present, the network is made up of 36 members, and continues to grow.

During the information session, co-founders of the network; QQI and TEQSA, will be joined by some GAIN member organisations to provide an overview of the following:

  • Purpose of the Global Academic Integrity Network,
  • Work carried out by the network so far,
  • Plans for the future, and
  • Benefits of GAIN membership.

The organisers welcome active participation during the session and encourage you to ask questions either live or through the meeting chat. If you would like to submit any questions in advance of the meeting, please do so by emailing gain@qqi.ie.
