SKVC call for international experts – deadline 1 April 2024

SKVC is looking for candidates to serve as experts in procedures of external quality assurance (evaluation of study fields) in Lithuania.

Experts applying should be currently active and known in their fields as researchers, teachers of the subject, or be Bologna experts, independent higher education consultants, have previous experience of participation in peer reviews in at least two EHEA countries, within the international panels of experts, during the last 10 years, and be fluent in English (level C1 according to CERF or equivalent). All panels will be international, thus the whole evaluation process will be conducted in English.

The following study fields will be evaluated with accreditation purposes in the second half of 2024:

  • Architecture
  • Electrical engineering
  • Production and Manufacturing Engineering
  • Software engineering
  • Film
  • Journalism
  • Political science
  • Religious studies
  • Theatre

Once a candidacy is approved and the expert is included in SKVC’s database, invitations to evaluations are issued. The duration of site-visits depend on a particular study field assesment, it usually takes from 2 up to 5 working days depending on the number of study programmes within a study field and the number of higher education institutions to be visited. SKVC offers an expert fee based on the competence of the expert, the volume of expected workload and other factors.
