As part of the SIQA project, the Working Group on CBQA in the EHEA will launch its work on updating the Key Considerations for CBQA in the EHEA and producing a Code of Conduct for CBQA in the EHEA.

The kick-off meeting will take place on 27-28 January 2026 in Brussels, Belgium.

This online meeting is exclusively for CEOs/Directors of ENQA member agencies. Exceptionally this meeting may instead be attended by a nominated representative (one per agency). This additional meeting will provide an opportunity for ENQA members to give feedback on the draft of the ESG 2027 and discuss key issues to be addressed by ENQA.

Coinciding with the public consultation on the draft of the ESG 2027, this webinar will provide a briefing on the main changes and key issues for quality assurance agencies. Input will be provided by ENQA’s representatives that are involved in the revision process and there will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions and discuss feedback on the draft.

The 2025 European Quality Assurance Forum will take place on 12 to 14 November, hosted by Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary.

This year’s Forum will focus on the theme of ‘QA in times of crises – Ensuring stability, autonomy and international cooperation in higher education’ and discuss how quality assurance can support the higher education sector in responding to current and emerging challenges.

The 2025 ENQA General Assembly took place on 23-24 October in Brussels, Belgium. The event was organised in cooperation with the Flemish Higher Education Council – Quality Assurance (VLUHR QA) and the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (AEQES). It was preceded by an ENQA anniversary celebration taking place on 22 October.

ENQA’s 2025 Experienced Reviewers’ Seminar will take place on 2-3 October 2025 in Warsaw, Poland, hosted by the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA).

The 2025 ENQA Training of Agency Reviewers will be held online across three half-day sessions on 12, 19, and 26 September 2025.

ENQA’s Targeted Reviews’ Follow-Up Seminar will be held online on 8 November 2024, 10.00-14.30 Brussels time.

To mark the end of the Quality Assurance Fit for the Future project (QA-FIT), the consortium will organise the final conference on Thursday 7 November in Brussels. The event will gather higher education stakeholders and policy-makers to discuss the current context for quality assurance of higher education and reflect on how the EHEA framework can evolve to remain responsive and relevant. Further information and invitations for the event will be sent out during the summer.

In this webinar, members of the ENQA working group on academic integrity shared the final outcomes of their work, which explored the role of quality assurance agencies in promoting and enhancing academic integrity. During the webinar, the highlights of the group’s report were presented, together with examples from ENQA members and recommendations for future action.

The 2024 General Assembly will take place on 24-25 October in St. Julian’s, Malta. The event is organised in cooperation with the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA). It will be preceded by a social programme taking place on 23 October.

The consortium of the Quality Assurance Fit for the Future project (QA-FIT) organised the final webinar on Tuesday 10 September at 10.00-12.00 CEST. It provided an overview of the main project findings and the next steps for the revision of the ESG.

ENQA holds online CEO meetings twice a year to supplement the physical meetings that take place in conjunction with the Members’ Forum and General Assembly. The meeting is open exclusively to CEOs/Directors and equivalent of ENQA member agencies and is an opportunity for updates and discussion with the ENQA Board on issues of strategic importance for quality assurance agencies.

ENQA will organise a Focus Group as part of the QA-FIT project consultations with higher education stakeholders. It will draw on the work of the project, which has identified differing stakeholder views around the scope and level of detail required from a European framework for quality assurance. Participants will debate some of the fundamental questions underpinning the future development of the ESG, as well as explore some specific standards of Parts 2 and 3 that could benefit from revision.

The webinar explored the key QA-FIT project findings related to two topics: the scope of the ESG and flexibility of external quality assurance approaches. It provided an opportunity to explore perspectives and implications of these issues for the future activities of quality assurance agencies.

The 2024 Members’ Forum took place on 18-19 April in Hanover, Germany. The event was organised in cooperation with the Central Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation (ZEvA) and was held at the Hochschule Hannover, Campus Linden, located at Ricklinger Stadtweg 118/120, 30459 Hannover, Germany. It was preceded by a social programme taking place on 17 April.

There are various models of cooperation between quality assurance agencies and ENIC-NARIC centres. This webinar will explore various approaches by presenting three different cases and discussing the particularities, advantages and challenges of each one. In addition, the event will explore the possible opportunities for enhancing cooperation, communication and information exchange. This webinar is co-organised by ENQA and the ENIC-NARIC network.

In anticipation of the Bologna Process Ministerial conference taking place in May in Tirana, ENQA organises this webinar to explore the status quo of the Bologna commitments related to quality assurance.

The 2023 European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) will be hosted from 23 to 25 November by University of Aveiro, Portugal.

The Forum, entitled “Internationalisation in a changing world. New trends and challenges for QA”, will combine sessions about policies and trends, research, and practical case examples related to the Forum theme and more generally about current developments in quality assurance.

The 2023 ENQA General Assembly will take place on 25-27 October in Dublin, Ireland. The event will be organised in cooperation with the Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI).

ENQA’s 2023 Experienced Reviewers’ Seminar will take place in Barcelona, 7-8 September, and will be hosted by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU Catalunya).

The 15th ENQA Training of Agency Reviewers will take place online on 15-16 May 2023. The training is open only to nominated experts and the nominees selected to participate in this training event are contacted individually.

The 2023 Members’ Forum  will take place on 20-21 April in Georgia. The event will be hosted by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE). A social programme is planned for 19 April.

This webinar explored the topic of external quality assurance of EQF level 5 courses offered as higher vocational education and training or short cycle higher education. The increased focus on flexible learning pathways, investment in skills and permeability between education sectors, in conjunction with international student mobility, makes a shared understanding of QA approaches to EQF level 5 qualifications all the more important.

The 2022 European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) will be hosted from 17 to 19 November by West University of Timisoara, Romania.

The 2022 ENQA General Assembly took place on 26-28 October in Stockholm, Sweden. The event was organised in cooperation with the Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ) and was held at the Karolinska Institutet, located at Solnavägen 9, Solna/Stockholm (building: Biomedicum).

This ENQA online event will explore existing and prospective practices for external quality assurance of micro-credentials a variety of contexts across the European Higher Education Area. The event is based on the outcomes of the ENQA working group on micro-credentials, which has been exploring the topic in detail over the past year.

The 2022 ENQA Members’ Forum will take place on 22-24 June 2022 in Cardiff, Wales. It will be hosted by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA).

The 2021 European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) will take place online on 18 and 19 November.

In 2021 ENQA updated its Guidelines for ENQA Agency Reviews and launched targeted reviews. During this webinar ENQA presented the key changes to the guidelines and the new methodology for targeted reviews.

In this webinar, participants heard a range of short inputs from selected ENQA members and affiliates about new developments in their agencies or systems. These focused on significant changes in approaches to external quality assurance or innovations in specific aspects of their work.

This webinar explored how external quality assurance can respond to some of the lasting changes on higher education caused by Covid-19.

ENQA’s autumn General Assembly meeting took place online on Thursday 21 October, from 9:30-12:30 CEST.

Due to the postponement of the ENQA Leadership Development Programme seminars caused by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, an extra midterm seminar has been organised for the LDP participants.

The webinar is open to ENQA member and EQAR-registered agencies wishing to renew their membership or registration with an expected site visit in 2022 (or very early 2023), and who have been through at least two full ESG reviews.

The first seminar of the ENQA Leadership programme 2020-21, hosted by the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (NOKUT), took place online on 2-4 June 2021.

A year after the Covid-19 pandemic hit Europe, many quality assurance agencies have gathered significant experience of moving their external quality assurance activities online. ENQA’s call for contributions to share experiences of conducting external quality assurance in an online format received a high number of interesting submissions. Therefore, we decided to run a second webinar on the same topic, in order to provide a further opportunity for members and affiliates to learn from each other.

On 23 April 2021 from 10-11:45 CEST, ENQA hosted a webinar on “Stakeholder involvement in external quality assurance” as a part of it’s online ENQA Members’ Forum programme. This webinar explored how quality assurance agencies can effectively involve external stakeholders in their work.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020 European Quality Assurance Forum will be organised in the form of online sessions. This decision was taken with the health and safety of all participants in mind.

On 23 October 2020, 10-11:30 CEST, ENQA will host a webinar on use of indicators in higher education and specifically quality assurance. Participants will hear the main findings of a study conducted by the European University Association (EUA) which looked at how indicators are used in rankings, external quality assurance, and funding formulae.

On 21 October 2020 from 10-11:30 CEST, ENQA hosted a webinar providing an update on the Bologna Process. This webinar was exclusively open to representatives from ENQA Members and Affiliates as a part of the online ENQA General Assembly programme.

The ENQA affiliate HKCAAVQ will host its International Conference 2020, themed “From Quality Assurance to Quality Enhancement and Excellence”, in a hybrid setting on 15 September 2020 from 09:00am – 4:45pm Hong Kong time.

Following the introduction of lockdown measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic, ENQA is offering a webinar that explores conditions and criteria related to online implementation of site visits and what challenges EQA is facing in this regard.

To support an open dialogue within its membership, ENQA offered a webinar aimed at CEOs of member and affiliate agencies to explore the strategic aspects of how to deal with the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

EUA, EQAR and ENQA are cohosting a webinar on the DEQAR project on 27 June at 14:00 CET. The webinar is titled “Plugging the information gap – facilitating recognition through access to external quality assurance results.”

The second ENQA webinar discussed subject-specific approaches. The webinar took place on Friday, 14 June 2019 from 11:00-12:00 CET.

LIREQA project is organising a conference on linkages between academic recognition and quality assurance in Vilnius, Lithuania on 22 May 2019.
